The Lambeth Country Show is one of London’s oldest and is almost a London institution! Now in its 41st year, it’s a must see for Londoners and those from further afield. Bringing a traditional county fair to the centre of London, it’s a chance to get up close and personal with some birds and animals as well as of course try out the spectacular food. With plenty of see and do as well as lots to learn, the Lambeth Country Show is a great day out for everyone.
About Lambeth Country Show
Hosted in Brockwell Park, the Lambeth Country Show gives the opportunity to enjoy a traditional country show mixed with modern twists and all without having to leave London. Every year the Show gets bigger and better and this year promises to be no different thanks to the wide range of things on offer. Combining the traditional sheep dog trials, owl displays and cool homegrown produce with reggae, Latin and afrobeat music, this is a distinctively London festival that you won’t want to miss out on.
Never a dull moment at the show thanks to plenty of activities and workshops to check out, the Lambeth Country Show makes a great day out for people of all ages and not forgetting the animals – they’re excited to meet you.
When is the Lambeth Country Show?
The Lambeth Country Show takes place on Saturday 18th of July and Sunday 19th of July 2015.
Why Should I Take Part?
How many reasons do we need to give you? The Lambeth Country Show is huge and has plenty to do for people of all cultural tastes. From live music in the form of soul, country, folk to reggae music and more, there is plenty to delight and entertain. Watch the owl and sheepdog displays, wonder at the camel racing or even step back in time for some medieval jousting – it’s all happening at the Show.
This year the Show has been divided into Zones, making it even easier to see what you want to see. From art and music to sport and food, you’ll be spoiled for choice with the things on offer. You can sample great locally grown products and some other tasty delights, as well as enjoy great beer and cider.
If you want to take part in the show, there are plenty of weird and wacky competitions to enter, with time still left to win a prize!
Best of all, entry to the Show is free, all they ask if for a donation to keep the show going, so dig deep, you’ll definitely want to return next year.
