Getting ready to throw that annual dinner party of yours? What was it about last year’s dishes that didn’t quite shock the guests into rapturous applause of approval? Perhaps this is your first time throwing a dinner party and you’re just not sure if you should be more concerned with the mobility of the food or how heavy it should be or in what portion, etc. Well, let’s just say that there are a few dos and don’ts when it comes to dinner party fare. Instead of boring you with those specifics, we’re going to jump right to the top and suggest the best meals to prepare for a dinner party.
Spanish Bacon Cheese Frittata
Dinner party meals cannot be too individualistic, unless you have a great amount of time on your hands. What you need to do is prepare dishes that are tasty and fun but that are also easy to bake in bulk. Enter the Spanish Bacon Cheese Frittata. If you have a very large skillet, this is a great choice that with little effort and cost can fill many stomachs. You’ll need eggs, gruyere cheese, bacon, olive oil, butter and spinach leaves. There’s nothing else, it’s that simple!

Running in the same vein as the latter dish, paella is a great way to combine a lot of taste and little time into one big pot of food. Originating in Valencia, Spain, paella has been a staple food at Valencian family gatherings for a long time. Your guests will be quite happy with paella and it is sure to have something that everyone likes. It will be a bit pricier with all the ingredients: chicken marinated in spices, sliced chorizo sausages, cut onions, crushed garlic, rice, parsley, crushed tomatoes, clams, jumbo shrimp, lobster tails, sweet peas, saffron and lemon as garnish.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes
You’ll of course have to prepare something else to go along with mashed potatoes, but there’s no denying how perfect and unconventional mashed potatoes look at a dinner party. They are so very easy to make, and you can stuff so much quantity into one big pot. Make sure to leave the skins on, and a bit of cumin never hurt anyone, but it sure will flatter unsuspecting guests.

Guests need to have a choice of salad, and Caesar is a sure thing. That cool, crunchy romaine lettuce and pure taste is something that your invitees will be glad for. All it takes is olive oil, parmesan, croutons, pepper, garlic, egg, lemon juice and tongs. Of course, a Caesar doesn’t necessarily go well with mashed potatoes, so you’ll have to plan the combos out correctly.

Every dinner party should follow the courses, and terminate with a tasty dessert offering. Crumble pudding is a great dish to provide because it’s easy, healthy and can be cooked up in large batches. Try the rhubarb, pear and hazelnut recipe to really astound your guests. It’ll take butter, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, and vanilla ice cream. The crumble mix you’ll have to prepare in a blender; butter, hazelnuts, flour, cinnamon and sugar. Throw it all together in an oven pan and voila!
